Are we giving Mercy?
Are we merciful to others when they make mistakes?

 Matthew 7:1-2
“ Do not judge, or you too will be judged, and with the same measure you
Use, it will be measured to you”.
Just recently I began to wonder. Do I not receive Mercy in some things do to how harsh I handle others?

Do we some times think that we would of handled that better then that person or are critical toward how they handled

it?
We need to realize that how hard we judge others on what we think. We will also be judged in the same measure that

is a scary thought. How many times do we not show mercy to others? Then we wonder why we do not receive mercy.
Now on some things if someone knows better and there doing wrong against the bible claming the benefits of Christ

.The Lord may want you to confront them but in love to address the situation.
James 2:13
“Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment”.

The lord showed mercies to us when he died on the cross for are sins.

Romans 5:8

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.
We may not be willing to die for these people but we can show mercy. Knowing that there not perfect and we all make

mistakes. We can chose what we want to focus on [The what is wrong with you list ]or the[ I love you list ]and I ‘am

gone to give you mercy as Christ gives us mercy. If we will chose to focus on the good things about people the

things that seem to get on are nerves will get smaller and smaller. What we chose to think about gives us life or

death. I want life. And what we chose to judge with know mercy expect it back to you in the measure you judged.

We need to be compensate toward people when they make mistakes and love them we would want that if we made a

mistake. So lets start focusing on the good of people.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Jesus is speaking of the Salvation Christ’s redemptive work will achieve, for his disciples total well- being and inner rest of spirit with God.

As well we are Christ’s disciples, if we are saved we should also be experiencing Christ peace in us. That doesn’t mean that we will never go threw anything and that we won’t have trials. It just means that are hope is in him we have assurance of ware were going.

Where never alone we can talk and fellowship with God at any time the peace that we have comforts us when things aren’t going well. He gives us strength to pursue and go forward.

What are some reasons we may not be experiencing the peace that Christ gives?

1. If you’re not saved, you cannot experience Christ peace. Why, because he is not in you.

You are not part of his kingdom.

Gal 5:22

“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law.”

You cannot have the fruit of the spirit if your not saved. If you would like to have that peace and fellowship with Christ I ask you to pray with me. Father God I believe that you died for my sins. That you were crucified on the cross for me, Jesus I know that you are the only way to heaven. I pray Lord forgive me of my sins and make me knew amen.

If you truly meant what you prayed in your heart. And turn away from those sins you are truly saved. As you start getting to know the Lord you to will start experiencing peace.

2.If you are living in sin, and you are saved and you know what that sin is but you refuse to give it to God. You will not experience peace. That ties Gods hands in your life He cannot bless you and help you till you do the write thing and give that sin to him. When we hold on to that sin were saying God this thing over here I want more then you.

Matt 6:24

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money”.

Which is the same with God, you cannot serve both God and sin you will love one over

Other.

3.Not spending time with him and learning and studying his word and talking to him. It’s hard to receive peace from someone you don’t know or spend time with. Spending time with God will strengthen you; give you faith, and understanding. Which inturn will give you peace. So hopefully this will give you a few ideas of why you may not be receiving peace.
