What does it mean to trust in the Lord? It means to have full confidence in Christ and to rest in him.
Psalm 91:2 Says “ I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
It so easy to forget to trust in God when we get so caught up in are ever day to day situations. We forget to hand are situations over to him on a daily basis. When we must realize God is not asking us to give it to him. It’s commanded, so we are actually sinning when we take on are own problems and we don’t give it to the Lord.
In proverbs 3:5-6 “says Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”
How to trust in the Lord? First make sure you have a relationship with him. Second pray and communicate with him so you know his voice. Third believe what his word says.
In Mathew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I’ am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
What is the result of trusting in the Lord?
Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
So now we know it’s commanded to trust the Lord and we trust in him by having a relationship with him, by spending time in prayer, getting to know his voice. And reading the word and believing what it says. The result of that is having peace that surpasses all understanding.

Peace is certainly a beautiful thing. When we know the Lord and how vast He is, then we can rest in His hand. As we go through each situation, trial, then we discover that He is faithful and His word is true. The more trails we go through, the greater the opportunity to be a truly faithful servant who knows that “He will never leave us nor forsake us.” ………..Frank

HI Communique………When the doctors tell you that you are going to die, then there is an opportunity to really live out “trust.” When you “resign,” your life into Gods hands, then you learn that He is indeed faithful and out of that grows strong , deep trust…………….Frank
