Are we thankful for what we have and for the people God has put in are lives?
Or do we complain about what we don’t have and what we think we should have and are never satisfied always having
something else on the list. If we do that is called having a unthankful attitude.
God wants us to be thankful for what he has blessed us with, we even need to praise him when things don’t make sense or
we don’t like what’s going on.
I believe thankfulness and praising break the chains of the Devil and open the door for God to do a work in are lives
Paul and Silas went to prison.
Acts 16:16-26
“Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted
the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling. 17This girl followed Paul and the rest of
us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18She kept this up
for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ
I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.
19When the owners of the slave girl realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and
dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities. 20They brought them before the magistrates and said, “These
men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar 21by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or
practice.”
22The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten.
23After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them
carefully. 24Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison
doors flew open, and everybody’s chains came loose”.
So they went threw some things and it was painful. But they chose to praise God because they chose to praise him he
literal broke there chains and set them free. And if you were to read on threw Acts 16:27-34 You would see that the
officer who was watching them got saved .
God isn’t concerned about are comfort he’s concerned about are condition. We need to praise God because he is good.
Thank God he’s not worried about are comfort because if we only did things that were comfortable with would never
grow spiritual.
There is so much to praise God for we need to praise him ever day there are little things that sometimes we don’t even
notice that he does for us like having a job, a bed, running water and food, and heat things like that.
Are God is so awesome.
I believe when we praise God even in the bad things it open are spirit to him. It gives him something to work with. God
loves praise
Exdous 34:14
“ Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.”
James 1:2-4
“’2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of
your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not
lacking anything.”
So we need to trust the Lord we aren’t always gone to know why were going threw things but we know that God is there
and he wants us to be complete not lacking anything and we need to praise him for that. And move forward we may not
always no why but we know he loves us and he is good.
We also need to praise because it puts the devil back where belongs under are feet. When we praise God even in the
hard stuff the Devil doesn’t know what to do he doesn’t have anything to work with. He wants to keep us down when
things happen but if were constantly claming the scriptures and believing God and knowing and saying that he’ll take care
of us. Satan doesn’t have anything to work with when we talk negative though it shows all of are weakness so he knows
what direction to hit us in, praise confuses the Devil and open the door to God to do a work in us, praise God isn’t that
awesome.
Ephesians 6:10-12
10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand
against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
We forget when we speak there a spiritual realm to. So we need to speak positive and be thankful and praise the Lord.
